The closure of two longstanding businesses is ushering in a rotation of merchants that, experts say, has become typical of the post-holiday season on the Pearl Street Mall.
Old Chicago, the 41-year-old original location of the national pizza-and-beer chain, closed its doors last month when its lease on 1102 Pearl St. ran out.

East Boulder office building sells for $12M
A two-story office building in east Boulder, at 5395 Pearl Parkway, recently sold for $12.125 million to local real estate investor and developer Lou DellaCava.
DellaCava purchased the property through his limited liability corporation, Dellacava Development Company. Geoffrey Keys and Ronan Truesdale of Keys Commercial Real Estate represented the seller, a locally owned entity managed by Crestone Real Estate.

Colorado's economy will continue to expand next year, with the state expected to add 63,400 new jobs, according to the annual forecast by the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business.
